FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), home of the world’s largest cargoairline, announced today an ambitious goal to achievecarbon–neutral operations globally by 2040.
To help reach this goal, FedEx is designating more than $2billion of initial investment in three key areas: vehicleelectrification, sustainable energy, and carbon sequestration.
This includes a pledge of $100 million to Yale University to helpestablish the Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture, acceleratingresearch into methods of carbon sequestration at scale, with aninitial focus on helping to offset greenhouse gas emissionsequivalent to current airline emissions.
